I like to listen to stories of my grandfather’s old
days. He experienced the World War Ⅱ when he was child and
he could not go to university that he wanted to go at that time. After all, he
entered another university and studied hard, working at night. Even though he
is 81, he is still working at home. In addition, he is really familiar with
history, music, science, almost everything. Until I became 12, my grand parents
had lived near our house, so I would often go to see them and spend a lot of
time with. If there was something I want to know, I asked him every time. He
always teaches me new things and is a really inspirational person for me.
I guess your grand father is knowledgeable. My grand parents also could not go to university because of the war. It is sad thing.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised that your grandfather has lots of experiences.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Momoka. My Dad is 80 something and so similar in age to your grandfather. I enjoy listening to his stories of growing up in the countryside during the war years. He and his family had very little at this time and he had to get a job as soon as he left school at 15 years of age. Eventually, though, he became an accountant through on-the-job training. He has an appreciation for the value of things because he grew up with having so little. He never takes the blessings of food, clothes and shelter for granted. David :-)
ReplyDeleteI think your grandfather has a lot of knowledge and is so wonderful.
