The English Language in the Future

I think English will decline its influence in the future. English is now used as a global language because the United States have power and money. However, when  the U.S declines its influence in politics or economy, English as a global language will be replaced by another language. I think Spanish will be a global language. Spanish is the second most spoken native language in the world and people show a lot of interest in the Latin, Spanish, Hispanic culture.

Brainstorming About Global Languages

As the spread of English as a second language in the whole world, English will still be the most popular language in the next 200 years, although, it will have changed in many ways for a long time. For example, pronunciation will has become easier than before because some people who studied English could not pronounce correctly. Such as 'R' is quite difficult to pronounce for Asians.

Despite of increasing numbers of English speakers, the dominant status of English is probably to change. The main reason is that the development of economics will heavily influence language changes, like Chinese will have become the third language by 2200. At present, the number of people who learn Chinese has risen  rapidly compare to 200 years ago. In addition, the theme Legend of silk road will make significantly break through  to exhibit the power of China, which will be the another critical factor. Therefore, Chinese will become more important in hundreds of years.

The Future of English

I think English will change all over the world , so we will not be able to understand local English like China.
I think so.Now everyone all over the world studiesEnglish. English will be used to communicate with foreign people.
I think Chinese will become more important. That is because China has the largest population and they make a lot of things such as clothes and China will develop dramatically in the near future.

The Future of English

I think that English would keep to be as a global language, still other language could be take the part of it.
Nowadays English is spoken by many people, and learned by more people, so I predict that it won’t be taken over by other languages, for at least 50 years.
But as the growing population of learning other languages, the global language could be changed to it, or it could be the global language as well as English at the same time.
I think the number of learning that language is going to be the key.

The Future of English

I think whether English will continue to be a global language will be decided by whether the U.S. will continue to have strong power. The reason why English became a global language is the U.S. influences many other countries. Moreover, their countries imported American technology and products, so English spread widely and changed more usefully. If the world didn’t change anything until the next 200 years, English would spread more widely and more other countries. However, China starts to have strong power, these days. It has more population than the U.S., so the market is bigger. If China replaces the position of the U.S. in the next 200 years, the importance of Chinese will be higher than today. In effect, the countries where people speak English as second language, it isn’t used. In international business, using global language is more efficient than using other ones, so I think other languages won’t become more important.
Therefore, if the U.S. maintain strong power, English will continue to be a global language. I hope so because I’d like to avoid studying new languages from now.

I think English will Continue to be a Global Language.

I think English will continue to be a global language. Lately, of course, Chinese speakers are increasing. And more and more companies of many countries expand their business to China now because China has a large labor. However, I think the Chinese speakers are almost only near or in China and a part of people in the developed countries. The main reason Chinese speakers are increasing is that the population of China is increasing. Moreover Chinese characters are so many that it must be difficult to learn Chinese for many people. On the other hand, English has only twenty-six characters so it is easy not only to remember but also to teach. Now English is a global language and is taught in elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university of many countries. Though they may use English as a second language, many people around the world are using English. So I think the present situation that English is a global language won’t change so easily in 200 years.

How will English change in the next 20 years?

First, I think that English will change with increasing the vocabularies and usages in the next 20 years. Also, English will continue to be a global language. In order to be a global language, it must get more vocabularies that current English doesn't have. Otherwise, English can't be a global language in this globalized world. Moreover, I think, languages other than English will be more important in the world too. The reason why I think so is that there are the expressions that we cannnot express by using English but we can express by using other languages. To use English as a global language, we should use other languages, I think.

Possibilities for English

I think English will be completely different from the current one, because languages have been changing throughout the history.  And technology may contribute to their evolution.  English will become more global language because of communication on the Internet.  People around the world will speak their own English that has their own national character.  In the future, I think, sometimes people who speak English can’t understand what the person who also speak English say because their English became too unique and too difficult for people from other cultural area to understand.

The Future of English

I think many people who lives in country where language is not English would be able to speak English as a second language. It is because the importance of English is getting higher and higher. Compared with 40 years ago, students forced to learn English more now and children also have to study English at school. So I think government would force us to learn English more strict in the next 290 years and speaking English would be normal thing for people. So I think English would continue to be a global language. Though Mandarin is spoken by many people, but what made English global language was not the number of its speaker. I think the most important think to be global language is its power such as economics so English would continue to be global language.

How the English will change in the next 200 years

In my opinion, English will continue to be global language. Nowadays, many people speak English as a mother tongue or second langagew. It is true that the number of Chinese is increasing. But I think it is difficult to change the current situation of language because many people around the world can already speak English.

How do you think English will change in the next 200 years?

I think English will continue to be a global language in the next 200 years.
I think even 200 years later, America will have great influence over the world. Certainly, some countries have been developing rapidly today. However so long as wars as large as "World War Ⅱ" don't occur and the world balance isn't lost, English will be the major language in the world in the next 200 years. With regard to the possibility of war, I don't think that it is likely that large war will occur because the world is heading for the peace gradually although there are problems in the world.

Change and the Sine Qua Non

How English will change in the next 200 years? In my opinion, it will continue to be lingua franca, but will have changed much. This post will show you the reasons and some examples of change.

Firstly, the pronunciation of “th” will disappear. According to an article in The Telegraph, a newspaper in the UK, the sound will vanish by 2066. It is supposed by the linguists in New York University, and it is because the sound is difficult to pronounce. On the basis of Professor David Crystal’s opinion referred in Stephen Fry’s English Delight.
Secondly, some people will use accusative case as nominative case. In fact, some Americanespecially street children of Afro-American—say “Me like you” instead of “I love you.” However, we can understand the case of this sentence. Because the word order is right. Judging from this example, we can say that we might have quit using nominative case in colloquial language, and it will be more and more important to obey the correct word order.

In contrast, English will continue to be a most important language in the future world. We can believe it considering the authority of Latin. Once a language become a standard of academic, a lot of paper is written in it, and it will continue even if the superpower extinct. Then, grammatically correct English will be the sine qua non, however wide Chinese, Japanese, or Hindi spread.

Therefore, I believe English will change a lot in the next 200 years, but it will continue to be the most important language in the world.

English in the next 200 years

I think English will continue to be a global language, because USA has big economic power in today’s world and they use English. On the other hand, population of China and India is increasing every year and if their economic power exceeds USA’s one, it can be possible that Chinese or Hindi becomes global language. Even if English continue to be a global language, some changes will be happen like some easy words appear or difficult words disappear.

The Future of English

Today, English has many differences such as spelling and accents.
In the past, English has changed a lot because of the printing technique. This is why I think that English will change especially spelling due to the technology. The Internet technology will be much more developed in the next 200 years. The number of people who use English on the Internet will increase and spelling will be mixed up. In terms of the accents, even if the technology like transportation or telecommunication develops, the diversity of accents will still remain because of different cultures and so on.

I also think English will continue to be a global language. Once English became a global language, it’s very difficult for other language to become a global language.
On the other hand, the population in China is increasing and China is a kind of industrial country. Therefore, Chinese will be important to trade companies.

English in the Future

I think English will continue to be a global language in the future and more people will use English for work, education, and so on so long as the USA is the biggest country in the field of economic. If China became the biggest one, Chinese would be a global language in this world.
In any case, however, a global language will change in the future. For example, some people find difficulties in pronunciation in English. For such people, English as a lingua franca will be more simple to understand and use than now, and the own English of the countries(e.g. British English, Singaporean English, Indian English) will have importance as cultures or something traditional.

Ultimate DOTA Tournament

It is believed that emotion can make lives move forward, but what kind of emotion is the most suitable for me? I had been spending time considering this question for many years. Eventually, I found my answer because of an unexpected journey.

When I became a high school student, I was selected for many crucial roles, i.e., a class president, a captain in many sports clubs and an assistant for a student council. Obviously, I would prefer to refuse all challenging tasks, but I had no choice because to respect democracy is my motto. Afterwards I had a lot of opportunities to learn relationship skills in many situations. As a result, I learnt that there were some activities which could encourage many students before they graduated. While I was preparing for the final examination in a computer lab at night, some teachers asked me about the last activity as a member of the student council. After hearing that question, I knew that I should do something in a different way in order to make the next activity become one of the most precious memories for many students. I decided my answer immediately, and all of teachers seemed totally surprised because they did not expect that I would select a completely different answer from many students. Indeed, my answer was to hold a computer game tournament.

After finishing the final examination, many students received a strange invitation. The invitation was issued to join the ultimate computer game tournament, Defence of the Ancients which is known as DOTA. It is a multiplayer online battle arena modification for the video game Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. I knew that all invitations would definitely be accepted. All participants had to do was group up as five players and sign up in a computer lab after school. The rule for that tournament was absolutely simple; we had to fight until the last team left. Furthermore, I announced that every team had potential to encounter many rematches because of a switch round rule. A computer lab was used for 3 days because all players needed some rest after every match. Even though holding a computer game tournament was an insane idea which had never appeared in the pages of our school history before, it is a true story that an assistant of the student council to hold a computer game tournament in high school was essential, especially as that activity began at night. Obviously, I joined the DOTA tournament, but my team had to withdraw from the tournament due to the fact that there was a problem with the school website. Even though I could not win the tournament, I was totally satisfied because my idea was accepted. Moreover, I had many opportunities to observe plethora of strategies in the DOTA tournament. After I graduated, a DOTA tournament has been held every year.

In the end, I acknowledged that students’ enthusiasm always support positive initiatives and positive feelings shall encourage our well-being.

My Childhood Experience

My Childhood Experience

My family had to move around Japan every two or three years because of my father’s work.  He works at an airport, and working in many different places is one of his duties.  When I was eight (in the second grade of elementary school), my family was forced to transfer from Osaka to Amami islands, in Kagoshima prefecture, Japan.  I had already experienced living in a new place, but it was my first time to go to a different school.  We could see clear-blue sea, unique plants and animals, and beautiful sunsets.  It was the best place for sightseeing, but it was hard to live there.

Amami is one of the areas of Japan, but it was like a foreign country.  I experienced a lot of culture shock.  Therefore, I was sick for two weeks as soon as I started to go to my new school.  As you know, the first few weeks are the most important time to make new friends when they are a new student, but I completely missed the chance.  In addition, some students came from Kagoshima or other prefectures in Kyushu, but I was the only student from Osaka in the school.  So, if I just walked at the school, most students, in particular the higher grade students could recognize me.  One day, when I went to a supermarket a senior student found me, and she said to me, “You came from Osaka didn’t you?”  Her voice was bigger than I imagined before, and her attitude was too rude to talk in a public space.  I did not know what my wrong was.  At same time, I thought it was not my decision.  I did not want to live there.

While I lived in Amami I was surprised at a lot of the differences between big city and island such as life style and academic ability, and I had uncomfortable situations many times.  I felt everything seemed to get worse.  I clearly remember that I struggled to understand their culture and adjust to it at that time.  As a school rule, bringing a water bottle from home was prohibited, and students drank running water directly from a tap.  It was incredible for me.

Two years later, we left Amami islands.  I had those bad experiences that I do not want to remember.  On the other hand, I made a best friend who understood everything about me.  Now, when I remember the episode I think I have a much more open-minded to everything such as people, culture and all differences through this experience.  I would not have my present character without this happening.
