Nowadays English is spoken by many people, and learned by more people, so I predict that it won’t be taken over by other languages, for at least 50 years.
But as the growing population of learning other languages, the global language could be changed to it, or it could be the global language as well as English at the same time.
I think the number of learning that language is going to be the key.
I agree with your idea:) the number of learning the language will be more important than thought in the future.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you.
ReplyDeleteI have no objection to your idea. People who use some languages will increase.
ReplyDeleteThe language whose number of speakers are growing will be important. Don't you think English will diminish its power?
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with your idea. English is spoken by so many people now, and this situation won't change so easily. But Language is changeable and it is difficult to predict the future of English after hundreds of years.
ReplyDeleteI think that the number of people learning other languages won't catch up with one of English too.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion is the reason why English became a global language was not the population but power of United States. I think if china would gain more power like current United states, Chinese would be global language.
ReplyDeleteYes, a language needs quite a long time to develop.
ReplyDeleteI think the number of people whp learn languages is important ,too.
