How will English change in the next 20 years?
First, I think that English will change with increasing the vocabularies and usages in the next 20 years. Also, English will continue to be a global language. In order to be a global language, it must get more vocabularies that current English doesn't have. Otherwise, English can't be a global language in this globalized world. Moreover, I think, languages other than English will be more important in the world too. The reason why I think so is that there are the expressions that we cannnot express by using English but we can express by using other languages. To use English as a global language, we should use other languages, I think.

It is interesting. We owe concept to words, so some vocabularies will be added to English used today!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your idea. The world can't hold only by English. The world consists of a variety of languages. There are a lot of expressions that English doesn't have.

Although some students and I think English will be easier than now for other people using other language, you think English will have much words than now. Certainly, English can't express all things which exist in this world.(for example, we cannot express "Komorebi" in English.)
